NENSI DOJAKA, STYLIST OF ALBANIAN ORIGINS WINNER OF THE LVMH PRIZE 2021

Nensi Dojaka began her career at the London College of Fashion. After graduating, she started working for Peter Pilotto and Fyodor Golan. She launched her homonymous brand in 2017, continued her studies with a master’s degree at the prestigious Central Saint Martins, officially debuting on the catwalks with the graduate spring / summer 2020 collection. Immediately proved herself as a promising talent. Collaborated also with Ssense for the creation of a capsule collection and was included among the talents of Fashion East 2020.

Dojaka’s talent was noticed by the stylist Alessandro Dell’Acqua, who selected her for the first edition of the mentorship program launched in collaboration with Tomorrow London. Thanks to this initiative, the garments of the young designer are sold in over 30 stores around the world. In a short time she conquered the world of fashion with transparencies and asymmetries.

Dojaka’s outfits have been worn by many celebrities such as Rihanna, Emily Ratajkowski, Bella Hadid, Adwoa Aboah, Dua Lipa, Hailey Bieber, Sophie Turner and the Italian singer Elodie.

DOJAKA’S STYLE

Her dresses have an unmistakable style that skilfully combines sensuality with a touch of punk, the romanticism of organza. She mixes the stretch georgette with the fine jersey and the tailored fabrics. Dojaka speaks to a free and confident woman who is not afraid to look different and to go beyond the preconception of a “beautiful dress”. She subverts the very concept of sensuality, defining it as the ability to show yourself as you want to be seen, rather than just how others see you. For the designer, sensuality is freedom to be and wear what you want. 

She proposes the aesthetics of the 90s in a contemporary key. She was inspired by Helmut Lang, Ann Demeulemeester, McQueen and Alessandro Dell’acqua.

The care for fabrics and the quality of materials is a key factor in her creations. In fact the Nensi Dojaka brand is made in Italy and used eco-friendly materials since the beginning. 

NENSI DOJAKA WON THE LVMH PRIZE 2021

A few months after her debut, Nensi Dojaka was awarded with the LVMH Prize 2021. For the 2021 edition, Dojaka convinced for the first time with a unanimous opinion a feared jury made up of prominent personalities from the fashion world such as Kim Jones, Virgil Abloh, Stella McCartney, Marc Jacobs and Jonathan Anderson.

THE BLACK MINI DRESS

The Lyst platform inserted Dojaka’s black mini dress in the ranking of the 10 most fashionable products for the first quater of 2021. It’s made jersey, with transparencies, showy vents, cut-outs, deep necklines, asymmetries signed by Nensi Dojaka.

For the spring-summer 2021/2022 of N21 Nensi Dojaka signed a new capsule collection with Alessandro Dell’Acqua and Alfredo Cortese of AC9.
