Halleh is a jewelry brand, founded in 2010 by designer Halleh Amiralai.
The history of Halleh Amiralai
Halleh Amiralai was born in Iran, which she escaped from, with her family, at the end of ’70s, during the revolution; after two years spent in Germany, they moved to Houston, then to Boston and, finally, to New York.
She already had a career in the fashion world, because she worked in Chanel wholesale, when she decided to follow her dream: so, in 2006, she left New York and went to India to become yoga instructor.
When she visited the historical jewelry store The Gem Palace, in Jaipur, she was so fascinated that she decided to start designing jewels. So, when she came back to New York, she followed goldsmith classes; furthermore, she went to India again several times, in order to improve this art.
Her first collection, inspired by many travels she did and sold, among the others, by Net-à-porter, The Webster and Just One Eye, dates at 2010: then she had the occasion to give proof of her subdued and relaxed style, whose aim is to make her customers comfortable and, as a consequence, more confident.
The success of the brand made many celebrities wear its jewels, such as Gwyneth Paltrow, Allison Williams and Scarlett Johansson. Moreover, her creations appeared on many magazines, such as Women’s Wear Daily, W Magazine, Elle and Vogue.
