ENSAD

ENSAD (École National Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs) is a public school in Paris, fuonded in 1766 by king Louis XV.

The institute

Officially opened in 1767, thanks to Louis XV, ENSAD was born to develop professions connected to the world of art and to improve the quality of industry products. In addition to École National Supérieure des Arts Appliquées Duperré, it’s the only Parisian public school which offers fashion classes.

The access is regulated by a public exam; then the institute allows his students to study in 10 different fields: interior design, art, animation, graphic and multimedia design, product and fabric design, fashion, printing, video and photography and scenography. At the end of the training – which can last 3 or 5 years – a degree is released.

Furthermore, since 2007 EnsadLab has been created, namely a research, creativity and innovation program: the institute, indeed, has always affirmed the importance of an inter-disciplinary formation, encouraging its students to collaborate with both external entities and with experts connected to the school

ModeMétiers d’Art and Design Manufacture des Gobelins sector received the Campus d’Excellence title from Education Ministry, due to the great number of public and private entities which contribute to define the training of the students.
