René Lézard

René Lézard is a German ready-to-wear label for women and men. It was launched in 1978 by Thomas Schaeffer. In 2002, Mariella Burani Fashion Group announced the acquisition of 50 percent of the capital.

The transaction cost almost 12 million euros. The remaining 50 percent of the company remains in the hands of Thomas Schaeffer. On 30 April 2002, the brand had a turnover of 71 million euros and a net profit of 1.4 million euros. In September of the same year, a new shop was opened in Hamburg, in the renovated Heine-Haus in the Jungfernstieg district, under the slogan Rélax – harmony of contrasts.
