Pilotto

Francesca (1963). Italian designer. She started her career in Sardinia in 1990, where she opened a shop in the center of Nuoro embroidering plain linear dresses. She has an atelier in Via Santa Barnaba in Milan. Her haute couture collection has been shown on the runways of AltaModa Roma since July 2001, under the new label Francesca Pilot-t. Her clothes are hand-made from precious silks and textiles made from processed cork, marble and coral. She owns the patent for cork fabric. Her collections nearly always pay homage to Sardinia, with colors, techniques, pleating, and styles inspired by Sardinian costumes.
