LUCA DINI, ITALIAN JOURNALIST

Luca Dini, born in 1965, grew up in a small village in the Marche region, Borgo Pace. It was 1990 when he won a scholarship to attend the Rizzoli school of journalism. This is how he started his career at Oggi, first as a collaborator and then, from 1994 as a correspondent from New York.

He worked for several magazines. In 2006 he became the director of Vanity Fair, a role he left in 2017 after being appointed editorial director of all the publications of the Conde Nast group. His role was to coordinate the editorial strategy and promote new projects. In 2018 he became the director of GQ and in 2019 of Glamour, while in 2020 he took over the direction of AD, the interior design magazine.

FROM CONDÉ NAST TO CAIRO EDITORE

“There may be many professional homes in a person’s life but a home where you have been for almost 18 years is important. If it’s the house that Condé Nast has been for me, it becomes more and more important. I left them to pursue a new challenge, to find a new home from which I expect satisfaction and goals.”

After working at Condé Nast for eighteen years, he arrived at Cairo Editore. Urbano Cairo chose him as the director of F, replacing Marisa Deimichei who had directed the female magazine since its foundation in 2012. In addition to F, he directed Natural Style, a monthly magazine promoting a sustainable life approach.
