Livoli

Lea (1912-1987). Fashion creator and milliner. She started her career in her hometown of Florence, in an embroidery school directed by her mother, manufacturing household linen and underwear. She married Renato Livoli and, after World War II, she opened a fur atelier in Via Castel Morrone, Milan, and later in Via Piave. After moving to Via Montenapoleone 14, she exhibited her Mirsa and Naka haute couture knitwear creations in the boutique under the atelier. In the 1960s she designed a ready-to-wear fashion collection, perfumes, stockings, and scarves. In the 1970s she moved her atelier, which had become famous for its bridal collection, to Via del Gesù 4 and showed hat and clothing collections in Rome and Florence. In 1974 Gheddafi ordered an exclusive line from her. In 1978 her daughter Giulia took over her place and the business continued until 1993.
