JOHNNY DUFORT HAS BEEN CREDITED WITH AN UNMISTAKABLE ABILITY TO CRAFT DIGITALLY RAW AND SURREALIST IMAGERY.

Johnny Dufort was born in Bristol and moved to London in 2007. Significantly recognized, he is a photographer breaking into the fashion industry as part of a new wave of talent. The Cornwall native, London-based photographer is quickly gaining attention in the industry with his old-school portraiture captured in a style dubbed by Dazed as “undone glamour”, and tapped by i-D, Balenciaga, and Stella McCartney.

Before pursuing photography, Dufort studied at the Falmouth College of Fashion and Design, though with no intentions of entering the fashion industry professionals. While taking up assistant jobs in photography, Dufort crossed paths with the notable fashion photographer David Sims who introduced the young photographer to fashion. Dufort soon transitioned into shooting for fashion publications such as the Modern Matter Magazine.

By 2019, Dufort’s list of clients has included Tom Ford, Stella McCartney, Gucci, and Louis Vuitton, and his work has featured in publications such as Vogue, AnOther Magazine, Document Journal, Dazed, and Arena Homme+. Dufort has cited a roster of artists such as Paul Simon and David Lynch as sources of inspiration behind his bleached and digitally manipulated aesthetic. He also credits parts of his visual identity to stylists he has collaborated with, such as Lotta Volkova of Vetements and Haley Wollens.
