Carrera

Factory established in Verona in the early 1960s, specialized in the production of jeans. The founders were three brothers, Imerio, Tito, and Domenico Tacchella. In Italy, it is number two in its field. The brand established its reputation at an international level in the 1970s, thanks in part to aggressive advertising. The entire production cycle is carried out in the Calderio plant, an 18th century villa restored according to industrial needs. The spinning is done with the Ring technology, which provides an extremely resistant and silky fabric. The cutting operations are completely automated, allowing the manufacture of very high quality jeans. Their main piece is the basic, produced in different fabrics and in a wide range of brilliant colors. Starting in the 1990s, the company diversified its production line to include shirts, jackets, and accessories, starting a total look of its own. In 1999 it set up a new yarn called Spintech (the inner part of the polyester yarn is covered in soft cotton) for the manufacture of “no ironing” trousers.
