Nadia. Belgian designer, of a German mother and Syrian father. She completed a four-year course in fashion design at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts of Antwerp, winning several awards for her “end of the year” Collections, among which was the Christine Mathijs Prize for her Ovaron Collection, coming in third. This is a particularly prestigious prize because it is awarded by Dries Van Noten, a very well-known Belgian designer. The Ovaron Collection included clothes inspired by the narrative of a life: written texts were affixed to the garments, along with illustrations, travel documents and small objects. Her style is influenced by her roots and by the colors and fabrics of the Arab world.
