Vallino

Fiorenza (1948). Editor-in-chief of the woman’s weekly Io Donna, a supplement to Il Corriere della Sera, which she has run since its foundation, in March 1996. She brought to the weekly all her experience in the field, developed especially in Mondadori where she worked for Donna Moderna and Confidenze, where she was editor-in-chief from 1993 to 1995. She is very focused on current topics and a growing awareness of the universe of women, and has ensured that her work has always been marked by a moderate but unflagging engagement. An effort that has won her, as her greatest recognition, the UNESCO prize for work against the violence and abuse to which the women of the world fall vicitims. In 1998 she received the special Marisa Belisario award for journalism.
