Valente, Sergio

Sergio  Valente (1941) is a Roman hairdresser. He has also been called the stylist’s hairdresser for having worked since the 1970s for the big name fashion shows. In 1971, he opened his own salon in Via Condotti. Two books have been dedicated to him: Ricci e Capricci in 1985, in which Pia Soli defines him as one of the most creative spirits in the sector, and Idee per la testa in 1995, a collection of 10 years of hairstyles. He was invited by the Chinese government to hold haute coiffure lessons on television.
