Plunkett

Roy (1910-1944). American chemist who worked at the DuPont research laboratories and who invented Teflon (polytetrafluoroethylene) in the 1930s, a material defined by Guinness as “the slipperiest in the world.” First used as a non-stick coating for cooking utensils, it has also been successfully adopted in the clothing industry. Ideal for soft and comfortable sports socks that reduce rubbing between the foot and shoe.
