Pisenti

Celeste (1979). Italian designer. She has worked for Costume National and Moschino. She designs the Blugirl range for Blumarine: they are whimsical and romantic clothes with echoes of another era, short taffeta skirts worn over tight jeans, pale blue or pink satin evening dresses, frills and ruffles, appliquéd flowers and sequins, or a more Anglo-Saxon style consisting of riding jackets, tartan pants, and Argyle sweaters. At just 24 she showed her first personal collection, called Celeste All That Jazz, on the Milan runways: 22 hand-made pieces inspired by Brigitte Bardot, Amanda Lear, and the 1920s starlet Clara Bow. The following season she expanded and completed the collection with smoking jackets, oversized blouses with sequin logos, full ruffled skirts, silk palazzo pyjamas, fox fur muffs and hoods, low-cut court shoes with bows, and mini handbags, all in soft colors like pink and sky-blue.
