Consagra

Pietro (1920). Italian sculptor of large-scale work. He created jewellery with the same rigor and abstract style of his sculpture. The first, from 1959, were brooches in gold and silver, sometimes encrusted with diamonds, that he produced with Mario Masenza in Rome. In 1969, with the goldsmith Gem Montebello, he created masks, the Face Ornaments, in gold and coral. Consagra was born in Mazara del Vallo, Sicily.
