Francesco Murano
Francesco Murano is a young Italian fashion designer, born in Agropoli in 1997. He is included among the emergent talents of Italian fashion.
History of Francesco Murano
He grew up in Buccino, in the province of Salerno, and he was fascinated by the aesthetics of beauty, so he decided to attend the Carlo Levi Art High School in Eboli and, then, in 2016, to move to Milan and study Fashion Design at IED. His talent was immediately recognized: in 2019 he won the Milano Moda Graduate and in 2020 he won Who is on Next?, organized by Vogue and AltaRoma.
His thesis collection, Ossimoro Plastico, captured the attention of Zerina Akers, Beyoncè’s stylist. She contacted him asking for clothes for the singer, who wore his décolleté, in the Spirit videoclip, and a custom-made sculptural dress, at the pre-Grammy party of 2020. This springboard marked the rise of the young fashion designer.
His drapery, the contrasts between the rigid and fluid forms, the constant references to the world of classical and baroque arts, meet in clothes that make harmony and balance their distinctive trait.
