Molinard

Historic brand of French perfume, also famous for its jewel-like bottles: true works of art created by René Lalique and Baccarat. It was launched in Grasse in 1849, as a small workshop of “eaux parfumées.” Afterwards the house opened its own distillery and shops in the Provencal style, attracting the rich Russian and English clientele holidaying along the CÂte d’Azur. It then turned to Paris, where it reached the height of its success in the 1920s and 1930s with perfumes such as Habanita, Molinard’s bestseller, and Le Baiser du Faune, which won the prize for the most beautiful perfume bottle in the world at the international exhibition in New York in 1939.
