Miglio

Nando (1939). Italian artistic director and director of runway shows. Born in Venice, he began his career in fashion at an early age, first as a photographer in London and then as an assistant in the press and public relations office of the Rinascente department store in Milan. Afterwards, he became art director and fashion editor for Harper’s Bazaar in Italy. During the 1980s, his consulting studio organized the direction and background music for the runway shows of some of the most famous Italian and foreign designers: Valentino, Versace, Armani, Fendi, Gft, Dior, and Chanel. He directed advertising campaigns, working with photographers such as Penn, Newton, Avedon, and Krieger. In 1984, he “staged” the Genny runway show at the White House for Ronald and Nancy Reagan. From 1983 to 1987 he was in charge of the press office and global image of Gucci. Currently, he oversees communications strategies for Hugo Boss, Canali, and Pal Zileri. He likes to dress in white all year round.
&Quad;2001, December. During the annual Visual Awards ceremony, the magazine Visual Trend praised Nando Miglio for his “professional engagement in visual marketing” throughout his lengthy career. The prize he received was significantly titled Ars et Labor.
