Serge Matta was a French couturier, which managed a high fashion house between 1958 and 1961.
His history
Brother of the more famous Chilean painter Roberto Echaurren Matta, he was a fashion designer operative in the ’60s and in the ’70s in Paris. In 1958, after his partnerships with Schiaparelli and Jacques Fath, he founded his own label; unfortunately, his lacking administrative skills force him to close in 1961. After the closure, he partnered with Maggy Rouff, Lucien Long, Lily Dache and Elizabeth Arden.
