Lecoanet Hemant

French fashion house. In 1994 the maison won the Dé d’Or, the Oscar of Parisian shows. It was born from the business partnership between Didie Lecoanet (1955), a young designer who had just graduated from the Roederer Academy and completed an apprenticeship by Lanvin, and Sagar Hemant (1957) who, born in New Delhi, studied fashion management in Germany. They started with a boutique in Faubourg Saint-Honoré. In 1984 the maison presented its designs. The following year, the pair became a foursome with the arrival of Roy Gonzales, who had worked with Cardin and Patou, and Juliette Cambursano, who formerly worked at Balenciaga.
