Lebourg

Christophe (1962). French designer. After graduating from the Parisian school de la Chambre Syndicale de la Confection et de la Couture, he received training with Andrevie, Montana and Yamamoto. These are excellent credentials and the Textile Financial Group hired him to design a minor collection. He made his début in 1984, almost hiding behind the pseudonym of Christophe Dimitrios. Success, though, convinced him to reveal his identity in the second show. Despite working for third parties — Callaghan, three years of artistic direction at Cacharel from 1986 to 1988, Tarlazzi and Lanvin — he did not give up working on his own collections. This is why his griffe goes missing for long periods, but always reappears on the catwalks eventually.
