ISAAC MANEVITZ IS AN EGYPTIAN AMERICAN ARTIST AND JEWELERY DESIGNER WHO CREATES FOR THE BEN-AMUN BRAND

Isaac Manevitz is the Egyptian-born designer for Ben-Amun, the jewel brand that for almost 30 years has been the reference point for the fashion elite and for luxury business collaborations.

He graduated from Brooklyn College in Sculpture, applying his skills in art works that created a growing collection of sculptures that have influences from his Middle Eastern background, his family, his relationship with nature and from symmetry and geometry.

The company took its name from Manevitz’s son, Ben, and from the king of Egypt Tutankhamon. He creates unique designs working with unusual and refined materials, such as glass, crystal and pewter. The headquarters is a boutique in the Fashion District of New York. The approach to creation starts from the artist’s sculptor roots who creates modern and contemporary yet timeless designs. Its belts are made with the best Italian leather.

THE COLLABORATIONS AND THE STARS WHO WORE THE JEWELS OF ISAAC MANEVITZ

Isaac Manevitz’s creations have decorated the neckline of several stars of international caliber. First they decorated the neck of the First Lady  Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, but also that of  Kate Moss, Naomi Campbell, Cate Blanchett, Anne Hathaway and Jane Fonda. Several singers have worn Ben-Amun’s jewelry for their videos or events: Madonna, Rihanna, Katy Perry and Christina Aguilera.

The artist then collaborated with many designers, such as Calvin Klein, Oscar de la Renta and Ralph Lauren. Recently the jewels in the collection were seen on the catwalks of Jonathan Simkhai and Veronica Beard. They were also used for many advertising campaigns for Estée Lauder, Elizabeth Arden, Cover Girl and Fenty Beauty.

Ben-Amun’s jewels are constantly on the covers of the most famous fashion magazines: F, Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, Vanity Fair, ELLE, Glamour, W and Porter.

The designer Isaac Manevitz has been member of the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) since 1980. In 2008 he received a certificate of Esteemed Member signed by the council chairwoman Diane von Furstenberg.
