Genty

Roy Genty (1964). Artistic director. He studied art and philosophy in Paris. Between 1985 and 1990 he worked as a film director. In 1989 he began working as a freelancer with Issey Miyake. In that same period he was also artistic assistant at Zucca, Final Home, Marithe, and Kosuke Tsumura. In 1992 he joined the Issey Miyake Company as technical director and artistic assistant. Appointed art director in 1999, the following year he also became the director of isseymiyake.com. Together with designer Naoki Takizawa, he introduced a new way of creating a fashion presentation, with theatrical effects and a poetic mood capable of providing a total view of the Collection.
