The down jacket is originally a garment dedicated to sport, and later, as happened with the Parka and the Husky jacket, it became part of everyday clothing, especially for young people, but not only. The down jacket indicates in its name the heat source generated by the goose down interior. It was precisely the replacement of the synthetic or vegetable padding with the natural one that determined its success, due to its lightness and lower volume, both as a way of dressing against the cold and as a real fashion item.
In black or colorful, in the shape of a jacket, a coat or in an ankle-length version. The quilt has contributed, in times of ecological and animalist obedience, to the eclipse of fur in young women. In the characteristic baggy strips, lozenges, determined on the waterproof silk by the stitching that stops and flattens the goose down, the garment has punctuated many seasons and seems to be on its way to becoming the classic timeless garment.
