Dainese

Sportswear and accessories company established in 1972 by Lino Dainese. It is known mostly for lines dedicated to motorcycle riding and other sports that require protective gear, such as skiing, mountain biking, skating, and hockey. It was among the first to offer motorcycle suits in color, and works with important race car drivers on the testing of new products. One of the most important protections for motorcycle riders came from one of these tests, the back protector. During the 1980s came another important innovation, pre-formed suits that adjust to a driver’s position on the seat. The mid 1990s saw the creation of the “no impact” division, dedicated to sports such as snowboarding and speed skating.
