Correggiari

Giorgio Correggiari (1943). Italian designer. Born in Pieve di Cento (Bologna), Correggiari earned a degree in political science and worked in several textile mills before opening his first two Pam Pam boutiques, in Riccione and Milan, in 1967. He continued working as a freelance designer for other fashion brands, including Daniel Hechter, throughout the 1970s, as well as designing the bestselling jeans’ lines Ufo, Reporter, Star Point and Colette. By the 1980s he was designing a range of Collections under his own name. His company produces men’s and women’s lines in addition to accessories.
The designer’s brother, artist Lamberto Correggiari, provides artistic direction for an innovatively theatrical presentation of the designer’s runway show. Correggiari continues to experiment with fabric and fiber technology both in his own lines and in his collaborations with other brands, such as Hechter and Reporter. His men’s line is produced by Viva, a division of Vivi Italia Srl.
