Sergio (1955). Italian photographer. After he studied photography at the Istituto Rizzoli in Milan, he enrolled in the School of Architecture, but later quit in order to devote himself to professional photography. In 1980 he began his work with Donna, Grazia, Amica, Anna, Gioia, Freundin, Für Sie, and Madame Figaro, as well as with the Japanese edition of Marie Claire, Harper’s Bazaar (in Italy, Germany, and Russia), Cosmopolitan, and various editions of Elle. He works, as a director, on the TV broad Nonsolomoda. The publishing house Feltrinelli often uses his photos for the covers of its books. His personal research, tied to his passion for the African continent and to reportage, resulted in the publication of Himba (1997) and Ndebele (1988). He has had several personal exhibitions.
