French women’s magazine. It made its début in 1973, in the wake of the American magazine Cosmo. With the first issue, it stated that it wants to be the magazine of women who are not afraid of talking about anything, and are willing to discover something new every day. Cosmopolitan freely discussed, with humor and originality, fashion, beauty, and sexual problems. During the 1970s, the monthly ran articles about couples and genders equality, thus joining the great feminist debate.
