Brigatti

Brigatti is a shop in Milan selling sportswear, clothing, and accessories, in a style that is classic, if not pure English. It is located on Corso Venezia. In Milan, especially for well-off consumers, it is almost an institution, like panettone, or the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele. Established in 1883, Brigatti has always been true to its motto: “Everything for sport.”. The original idea belonged to Giulia Brigatti, the mother of the present owner, Giorgio, and the sister of the founders. She created the company’s style. A former skating champion, Mrs. Giulia says: “To manage a store of sport articles you have to be a technician, better yet, a champio.”. For this reason, as a young man Giorgio Brigatti would climb mountains in Argentina, and now plays golf. At the beginning of the new century, the store was sold to Dolce & Gabbana and Brigatti has ceased operations.
