Bayerisches National Museum

Bayerisches National Museum is in Munich. It has a Collection of clothing and accessories with thirty thousand pieces. The oldest garments date to the 16th century. There are many regional folk costumes clothes as well as examples of 20^th century fashion. The fabric Collection contains pieces dating to the period of early Christianity. Of major importance is the in-house center for research and restoration.
