A Safari jacket, a type of jacket worn on safari is also called a bush jacket.
Adopted in military and colonial circles, it is also the source of inspiration for sports jackets and is made in linen, cotton, waterproof fabrics, and corduroy. It usually has four bellows pockets and a belt around the waist. During the Fascist period, the safari jacket was worn in Italy as a uniform. The classic version is in twilled cotton, a very hard-wearing and long-lasting fabric, and is typically used for military wear; it was adopted for the first time by the English for colonial uniforms. It can be either cream, khaki, or blue.
