Miss Sixty

Youth fashion brand belonging to the Sixty Group, founded at Chieti in 1989 by Vicky Assan and Renato Rossi. A trendy line with a casual and “provocative” look: elasticized shirts and T-“shirts, 1960s style skirts and pants. Underground collections, whose trademark is stretch fabric that hugs the body. Among the fans of Miss Sixty are Angelina Jolie and Jennifer Lopez; Emma Bunton (former Spice Girl), Destiny’s Child, and Anastacia: all of whom are figures who undoubtedly help the brand to maintain its fashionable reputation. Launched with a great advertising fanfare in 2002, just like the Group’s other brands (including the famous jeans line, Energie), it aims to become a total look, with glasses, bags, underwear, different kinds of accessories, and a line of perfumes and cosmetics. These are all products that have been successful for Assan and Rossi’s other brands. The company, which, in 2001, registered a turnover of 490 million euros with a growth of 25% on the previous year, relied on the US market for a significant slice of its takings and was not even affected by the general crisis that struck the fashion world after 11 September.
&Quad;2003, October. The fourth US store of the Italian brand was opened at 45 Grant Avenue in San Francisco. It is the first where the line is joined by Energie, directed towards a male public. The Miss Sixty Californian flagship store covers approximately 800 square meters. It is the 65th store globally.
&Quad;2004, January. Expansion in South America continues. The brand opened a flagship store in the Alto Palermo shopping center in Buenos Aires.
&Quad;2004, October. A global license agreement was signed with the New York firm Coty Inc. for the launch of a series of Miss Sixty perfumes.
&Quad;2005, January. The two lines Energie and Miss Sixty Junior were presented at Pitti Bimbo, dedicated to children aged between 4 and 14.
&Quad;2005, April. A new female line, Waxy, was announced for a target public aged between 20 and 35. It has a lower price range and a diversified distribution network, with the aim of supplying a continuous and rapid service that reacts quickly to the latest trends.
