Koshino

Hiroko Koshino (1938). Japanese designer. Sister of Junko and Michiko, also designers, all of whom are daughters of a dressmaker from Osaka. Koshino has a thriving and diversified business operating primarily in Japan. Many of her most striking women’s designs innovatively interpret traditional Japanese kimonos, playing on both scale and pattern. One of many Japanese designers to first attract international attention by showing in Paris in the 1980s.
