Wynants

Christian Wynants (1979). Belgian fashion designer. As soon as he graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp, he was noticed by Dries van Noten who, like a talent scout, immediately identified creative potential in this young man, and decided to allow him to design the line of knitwear and, over time, assigning him increasingly great responsibilities. Christian, with the appearance of a well-behaved boy and little Harry Potter spectacles, learned a great deal from his “master”: he had plenty of imagination, so that in 2001 he won the Jury Prize of the Festival of Hyères and entered the Olympus of the new creatives from his country. His painstaking attention to details results in a style with a tailored aspect, personal and even nonconformist interventions: his name is linked to a prêt-à-porter already well known in the United States and in Japan.
