Turban

A long scarf made of cotton, silk or wool, to be wrapped around the head in a number of different shapes. Typical of Indians and Muslims, Taking inspiration from Diaghilev Ballets Russes, Poiret introduced it as an accessory for harem pants, and for exotic, eastern-style tunics. Very popular in the first twenty years of the twentieth century, it often returns to fashion, both for evening and daytime wear.
