Top-Girl

Monthly for teenage girls from Gruner-Jahr-Mondadori, founded in 1998, with Maria Tatstos as editor-in-chief. Top-Girl, explained the managing director of the publishing house, Philippe Guesdon, “is designed to please a very difficult target, which over the course of six years contains three different age groups with differing wishes and needs.” A true novelty for Italy, it mirrors its German counterpart, Young Miss, which is in its turn a version of the U.S. publication YM. It is rich in fashion, columns that establish a direct relationship with its readers on subjects such as love and couples, and many stars from the fields of music, entertainment, and sports.
