Tony and Guy

An English company, a leader in the hairstyling market, with a separate division for cosmetic products. The masterminds, owners, and founders are four Italian brothers: Toni, Guy, Bruno and Anthony Mascolo, influenced by their parents, who were both talented hairdressers. They were born in Scafati, in the province of Naples. The four brothers opened a hair salon in London in 1963. In 1970, having been very successful, they opened a second shop in Mayfair, and began to work in the field of advertising photography. Bruno and Anthony began to work with Vogue. The strong suit was a feminine and versatile style, for all ages and faces. The 1970s and 1980s confirmed and increased the success of the Mascolo family which, with their unmistakable style, were sought after worldwide. In the mid-1980s, the shops of Tony and Guy in London grew to three. They began a plan of international expansion that would lead them in 2002 to some 350 salons worldwide and 15 academies. During this period of growth, the Tigi Haircare and Tigi Cosmetics products were developed. In the new millennium, they developed the furniture division, Innovia. In 2002, innovation continued with an internal satellite channel: the Tony Guy Channel, for training and communicating with the company’s staff. After finishing their studies, the third generation of the Mascolo family also chose the family profession, launching a youth line of products and cosmetics called Essentials. Sacha Mascolo received a prize in 2002 as the best hairdresser of the year.
