Thebe Magugu, LVMH award winning South African designer.

Thebe Magugu is a young South African designer, who studied fashion design and fashion photography. After some internships, he launched his first women’s collection in 2016 with the clear intention of also telling a story linked to his origins. In 2019 he won the Internationale Fashion Showcase with the British Fashion Council and the LVMH award. He launched the Faculty Press, a magazine of African and South African youth culture. In June 2021 he was ‘guest designer’ at the 100 edition of Pitti Uomo presenting his first men’s collection with an installation and creating camperos and bags in collaboration with the Tuscan Leather Consortium: only green tanned leathers.
