Ter et Bantine

Italian griffe of ready-to-wear fashion. Manuela and Gianni Gherardi, husband and wife, worked on the project together. He supervised the field of management, while she was in charge of the creative sector, and in 1989, they presented their first Collection. Their debut on the runways came a few years later: in 1993, in Milan. The style of the clothing, tending toward the minimalistic, found markets from Hong Kong to Switzerland. The label had already actually been used, with no link to the present label, between 1967 and 1973, by the French fashion designer Chantal Thomass.
2003, February. An acquisition of 51 percent of the label was made by the Società Mafra (Mariella Burani group).
