Dweck

Stephen. American jewellery designer. He lives in New York. Silver and very colorful stones are the basis of his work. He made a name for himself in the early 1980s, working with Geoffrey Beene and Donna Karan, gradually assuming more creative autonomy. He cuts stones in very irregular shapes, recalling ancient jewellery. He loves the cameo technique on bakelite, as well as traditional coral, turquoise and jade. Some of his unique pieces are on display at the Costume Institute of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York.
