Walter (1942). Swiss shoe designer. He worked with Lagerfeld and Montana and, when very young in the 1960s, he designed some models for Mary Quant. He started out with Bally for which he launched a very extravagant line named Bally Bis made of paper and plastic. The press declared it a success and opened his first boutique in 1973 in Paris. Since then he has become famous for his ability to change the usual proportions of shoes, his desire to revolutionize standard designs, and his use of aerodynamic heels reminiscent of airplane cockpits.
