Bill (1938). American photographer. He studies with Alexey Brodovitch, art director of Harper’s Bazaar, and became a fashion photographer in the 1950s. Moving to Europe, he worked in France for Marie Claire and in England for the English edition of Vogue, capturing the changing world defined by the fashions of Mary Quant and the music of The Beatles and The Rolling Stones. In 1965, he returned to New York and began working again with Harper’s Bazaar, mixing fashion shoots with portraits and still-lifes of accessories and jewelry. He also published in Vogue, Vanity Fair, Tatler, and Woman’s Own.
