Sheppard

Eugenia (1911-1984). American journalist who was one of the first to develop a critical and objective approach to fashion. She was present at the very first fashion shows that Bista Giorgini organized in the Sala Bianca in the Pitti Palace in Florence, the shows which led to the birth of Italian fashion. Having started at the Dispatch in Columbus, Ohio, she worked on Womens Wear Daily and the Herald Tribune from 1932 to 1966. The following year she moved to the New York Post, where she wrote the daily Inside Fashion column.
