Shop in Capri that sells hand-made sandals. Giovanni Schettino started it up in Anacapri at the end of the 1920s, when he was just 15 years old. Since then it has produced made-to-measure, leather, monk-style sandals, but also criss-cross strappy sandals. It is also famous for its Capri model with three little strips across the front and one behind to hold the heel. In 1955, Giovanni Schettino moved down to Capri to 53 Via Roma, where even today his daughter Lidia continues. The brand is also renowned for its women’s sandals decorated with beads, and its moccasins, some with and some without a sole. Its most famous customers have included Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, Marcello Mastroianni, and Johnny Weissmuller.
