Andres. Spanish designer and fashion entrepreneur. He was born in Barcelona to a family that has worked in the textile industry since the 19th century. Immediately after finishing his degree in textile engineering, he worked in the family business, looking after the American market. In 1962, he founded the business named after himself, which produces underwear and beachwear for women. With a watchful eye on developments in the industry and the market, he was one of the first to use elasticized fabrics in his collections. The first to be launched on the market was Risk, which aimed to transform underwear into a fashion garment. 1980 saw the turn of Andrés SardÄ, his first line, which uses very high quality materials and has a highly advanced and innovative design. Afterwards, Andrés, who now has his daughter Nuria working with him, launched the University line, which is much younger and cheaper than the other two.
