Andrés Caballero left Mexico to Milan because of a scholarship won at Istituto Marangoni; after this experience, he moved to Paris, where he attended the Parisian American Academy and learnt high fashion techniques; come back to Milan, he accomplished many internships in small fashion houses. The skills he obtained allowed him to realize his own collection and to found the Greyline s.r.l., together with his business partner Alessandro Moneta.

His first collection, created by sewing night and day in his Milanese atelier, was presented in a little show during Milano Fashion Week: it was immediately noticed and bought by Japanese chain of stores Ships Co; in time many other clients and boutiques joined, so the brand attracted the Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana, which offered it the possibility to take part to emerging fashion designers fashion shows, both in 2007 and 2008.

Its big success came in 2012, when he took part to Who’s on Next? contest, organized by AltaRoma; since that edition, where he was finalist – although not winner -, his talent has been noticed more and more and success has come. Then, in 2016, Caballero won third edition of Stroili loves fashion contest; after this, the jewels he designed were produced by Stroili goldsmiths.

The style of San Andrés

Values and concreteness in the first place, skillful cuts, bias and straight, top-level fabrics and a maniacal attention to detail are the points that distinguish every garment of the brand. Andrés Caballero independently designs and produces his own collection, with the help of his team, made up of young creatives and highly experienced seamstresses. The production, which follows traditional iter (sketch, choice of fabrics, development of paper pattern and prototype test), is entirely made in Italy.

The style of San Andrés aims at items characterized by entirely natural fabrics, treated by respecting environment and whose genderless elegance is founded on balance of contraries, thanks to the mix of bohème and classic, urban and country, Mexican soul and Milanese spirit.
