Regular customers of the Montecarlo shop, opened in the 1970s after the success of the Turin shop in Via Lagrange, have included international personalities from the worlds of show business, cinema and music, from Liza Minelli to Frank Sinatra and Ryan O’Neil. Even Maria Callas had her precious gems fitted by Repossi. The fame of his creations has reached as far as the Middle East, to the courts of Arab royal houses and to wealthy oilmen such as Ka “shoggi. His jewellery is timeless: refined and simple design, gems set in ‘natural’ settings, without decorative superstructures.
