Plissé soleil

Tightly pleated full skirt. The small, sharp pleats spread out from the waistband all the way down to the hem, creating a buoyant, swishing skirt. The term can also be used to describe a sleeve, train, or any other part of a garment characterized by the fan-like arrangement of its pleats. It comes from the French words plisser (to pleat) and soleil (sun).
