Pierre D’Alby

French ready-to-wear label founded by Zyga Pianko in 1951. He came to Paris from Teheran as a textile trader, and set up a clothing business called Piantex, which evolved with time into the more French and aristocratic sounding Pierre D’Alby. He employed a group of creative young designers who contributed to the company’s success. He sold the business in 1992 and joined forces with Irene Gregory, one of the designers he worked with from the beginning of his fashion venture.
