PETER MORRISSEY IS AN AUSTRALIAN FASHION DESIGNER, FOUNDER OF MORRISSEY EDMISTON WITH LEONA EDMISTON

Peter Morrissey is an Australian fashion designer who founded the Morrissey Edmiston brand in 1983 with Leona Edmiston.

In 1997, after taking a different path than his partner, he created his own label, with his name. After their separation, Peter created his homonymous fashion brand and achieved renewed success.

The line includes women’s and men’s clothing, eyewear, swimwear, bags, wallets, jewelry and leather accessories. In 2003 Peter designed the uniforms for the Australian national airline Qantas until 2009.

At the beginning of 2013, Peter launched the line of household items Home by Peter Morrissey available exclusively in the Big W department stores in Australia. This was followed by the success of the Peter Morrissey clothing line in Big W.

GQ AUSTRALIA NAMED PETER MORRISSEY “MAN OF THE YEAR”

GQ Australia appointed him ‘Man of the Year – Designer’ in 2002, while FHM Australia appointed him the same title in 2003 and 2004. Cleo Australia named Peter Cleo Maybelline Designer of the Year in 2004.

Notably, he was treated for a brain aneurysm in June 2009 from which he recovered satisfactorily.

Significantly, he is also a judge of Project Runway Australia.

He has been the founder design director at Peter Morressey & Morressey.
